Mark Finn | Managing Director BEc. (ACCG), ANZIIF (Fellow), Diploma Fin. Serv. (Insurance Broking), C.I.P., Q.P.I.B. , A.S.A. Mark Finn commenced working for Sedgwick Limited (Insurance Brokers) in 1987, as an Account Broker, following completion of the Higher School Certificate and has been involved in Insurance Broking, Reinsurance Broking and Risk Management Consulting since that date. Whilst at Sedgwick Limited, Mark worked in the Construction Division assisting in the placement of Insurance Covers for major construction companies operating in Australia. In 1989 Mark left Sedgwick Limited to join Finn Foster and Associates Pty Ltd. In 1997 Mark was appointed as a Company Director and took over the role of Group Managing Director in 2002. Since joining Finn Foster, Mark has serviced the Insurance requirements and needs of over 100 International Hotels and Resorts throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. Mark established the National Hotel Programme in 1997. This facilitiy is now one of the largest providers of Insurance Broking Services and Risk Management advice to the International Hotel and Resort Industry in Australia. In addition to Managing the National Hotel Programme, Mark provides Broking and Risk Management services to a wide range of Corporate and Commercial Clients as well as being responsible for the Corporate and Strategic Development of the Organisation. In relation to Direct Broking, Mark specialises in creating, marketing and servicing large ‘Group’ Insurance Programmes, concerned with the Hospitality, Leisure, Commercial and Retail Industries. Currently more than $5 Billion worth of Assets are being insured under these programmes. Mark attended Macquarie University and completed a Bachelor of Economics Degree with a Major in Accounting and a Sub-Major in Business Law. In addition, Mark is a Fellow of the Australian Insurance Institute, an Associate of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, is designated as being a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker with the National Insurance Brokers Association, and has a Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Broking) under the new Australian Financial Services Legislation. In 1994 Mark was recognised as the National Insurance Brokers Association Young Insurance Broker of the Year. He is a past Chairman of the National Insurance Brokers Association Under 35’s Sub-Committee in New South Wales and a past committee member of the NSW Divisional Committee of the National Insurance Brokers Association. |
