Peter Finn

Peter Finn commenced working for Price Forbes and Co (Insurance Brokers) on the 10th August, 1959 and has been continuously involved in Insurance Broking since that date.

Peter transferred to Price Forbes Leslie (Pty) Ltd in Sydney in May 1962, having been trained, in London, in Fire Insurance and Surveying.

From 1962 until 1966 Peter spent his time in carrying out Insurance Surveys of all types of Industrial Operations. In June, 1966 Peter was called in to take over the running of the Fire Insurance Department and in September, 1966 was appointed to take over the administration of all Consequential Loss Insurance Policies and Facultative Reinsurance.

Price Forbes Leslie, through a series of mergers and takeovers, evolved to become Sedgwick Limited.

Between March, 1967 and November, 1978 Peter served with Duncan Insurance Services (which evolved to become Bland Payne Australia Pty Ltd) and was made a Director in 1976.

Following a merger between Sedgwick Limited and Bland Payne in 1978 Peter was made a Director of the merged company. Sedgwick, subsequently, became Marsh Ltd.

In November 1979, Peter left Sedgwick Limited and founded Finn Foster and Associates Pty Ltd.

Peter is qualified as an Associate of the Australian Insurance Institute (since 1967) a Fellow of the National Insurance Brokers Association and an Associate in Risk Management with the Insurance Institute of America (since 1978). He is also designated as being a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker with the National Insurance Brokers Association. He has recently been awarded a Diploma of Financial Services ( Insurance Broking) under the new Australian Legislation.
